Thank you for the initiative and for the level of transparency provided in this proposal, it’s genuinely appreciated.

That said, there is an important concern regarding the RPC node providers under the IBP Bounty. The pricing appears to be calculated based on AWS-level costs, while in practice the vast majority of providers are running their infrastructure on significantly cheaper hosting services.

This creates a mismatch between reported costs and actual expenses, leading to what could be considered an unjustified margin. It would be helpful to better align compensation with real operating costs or to provide clearer justification for the current pricing model.

Could someone explain how we’ve been paying such large amounts to RPC providers - almost $300K in January 2026 - for years when the actual infrastructure costs appear to be significantly lower as kukabi suggests in this post?
