I’d like to share an exciting new development: a groundbreaking open source addressing system we’ve been working on at 3NS.
The goal is not just to add another layer to Polkadot—but challenging the entire paradigm of internet addressing while attempting to make it decentralised at the core.
Why we need a different addressing system.
Vision:
Instead of browsing a website, you simply ask your personal AI agent for what you need. Your AI isn’t just a tool—it’s an intelligent digital twin that understands you, does your shopping, responds to emails, triggers actions and even anticipates your needs based on what it knows about you. So the more it knows about you the better it will be.
There’s the catch: The better your AI knows you, the more powerful—and potentially intrusive—it becomes. Handing over that power to a centralised or some Grok or other based provider giving them insight into your very thoughts and behaviors. That’s why vendor independence is crucial.
Our solution? A system that lets you switch between AI providers like ChatGPT, Gemini, Anthropic—or even run your own open-source model with Ollama.
All your chats and choosen websties are written on chain within the .Web3 domain which is a digital asset.
Running your own AI server can also be done through DePin (a separate Polkadot substrate project I am also involved) and it ensures your digital autonomy remains intact and Meaning your training data is embedded within your domain .Web3.
We have been actively working through ICANN registration and can help you lead the path for this initiative.
Note: We won a grant from Moonbeam and are working through launch plans but anticipate 14 days until mainnet (Moonbeam, Polygon, Stacks, Fetch).

We have deployed on Moonbeam and Asset hub our fork of ENS. 3nsai (Web3 Naming System (3NS)) · GitHub
